Roller Skating Craze

For Rose's birthday this past November, we ordered her a pair of roller skates.  Between moving and all the other life events, we realized last week that they hadn't arrived yet.  THAT very day I needed to stop by a local consignment store for tap shoes and what did I find...THE EXACT pair of roller skates we had ordered.  Just that morning, Rose mentioned to me about the skates and I told her we would check their status when we got home.

Nice, Leisurely reading at breakfast above the table

Wild, loud banging below the table.  Roller skating and pajama pants.

I am not quite sure what I've gotten myself into, but roller skating has taken over our home.  We found Lillie a pair also at a local thrift store.

Just to add to the coincidental events, our homeschool group previously scheduled back in August a field trip to the Roller Skating Museum two days after we found her skates.  I love museums and reading placards so this field trip right up my alley.  I won't include the details of when and how roller skating evolved, but it is quite intriguing and worth wikipedia-ing.  Is that a word?

HOTTIES of their time.

If only I could experience something this classy ONCE.  I loved how the couple four chairs in are looking at each other.

Skates for horses

Not to point fingers, but someone has been into my maternity jeans.

"WHAT????" Not me.  I am 17 weeks old.  I tried to capture his blond chick fuzz on top freshly spouting after a morning scrub.
