Holding each one.

Sometimes, you just need to be held. It is so easy to hold Kapaun all day. I know how much the other children still love sitting on my lap, holding onto my arm while we read, and holding my hand while we walk.

In my head, he still fits.  Right?

Her too!

Rose too!

Always Zellie!

Forever Vianney!

Tiny Clairvaux fits just right.

Her forever!

Him forever, too!
Can't wait to hold you in February!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know how I am about these things!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are all eager to hold you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Congratulations!!! So many times over. I'm crying. I was just thinking about this today, that Kapuan is getting so big and maybe it's time...and you must have read my mind even though you don't know me. I'm so happy for all of you. Each one of your babies is so beloved. He or she has no idea how blessed he is to be coming into such a wonderful family.

  17. Congratulations! and totally agree with holding each child -- he/she needs cuddle time with mommy not just the baby. ;)

  18. Ahhh! Wonderful, joyful news. My arms got a workout from the first child, and I haven't looked back. I don't think I'll need a gym workout because of all of the toting, holding, carrying, and loving. So, so happy for you!

  21. and names? Have you decided, or do you have any names in mind? You two manage to find beautiful but uncommon names... Would you post something telling us about names, decisions, and where do you get ideas from? For example, how do you manage to you turn names of male saints into girl names, like clairvaux and vianney??!?! i1m intrigued!

  22. I was just thinking as I came onto your site after being gone a while on vacation that Dominic had said months ago that he was expecting an announcement of a new baby in May… What a delightful surprise to discover how right he was!

  23. Wow! I didn't see that coming with this post (although I was thinking that you would be expecting soon!). I just thought how sweet to hold even your older ones as I am convicted that I need to do the same...remembering that they still need me, not just the baby of the family! Congrats and thanks for the bit of mommy wisdom...a reason why I love reading your blog!

Do you have household help? Are you kids excellent helpers? Do you have a tutor. I have 4 under 7 myself and its intense. How do you do all the cleaning and laundry and cooking and schooling with so many little ones? What shortcuts to you take to make family life easier. How do you handle the troubles of pregnancy when so many little need you and rest is so important? God Bless!
