To Aunt Damaris from Damaris

We are waiting for you, Aunt Damaris. Denver is yearning for you. Come quickly. She really is too cute for words. She is wild and mean most days to her sisters, but loved desperately by all even though she pulls hair and demands to be loved and waited upon. She runs so fast that I will place bets she will compete in the Olympics. Her eyebrows speak a language all of their own. Come now.
Just back from her morning workout.
Looking for Aunt Damaris.

  1. Dear Lindsay,
I just wanted to thank you for your writing. I am a new mom and a new Christian, and it is truly SO helpful to learn from you. Your devotion to eternal things, raising your children in true adoration of God, and your joyful servitude (not a mask, but in the heart) to your husband and family, are all extremely informative and inspirational. I love your heart of compassion and love towards your children. You teach me that our job as mothers is to love and protect them. To truly honor God with everything. To worship our Lord every moment, in every small task. Thank you, and please keep writing!

  4. i think this is living as God has intended, using your own words "When all the stops are pulled out, the organ is playing its loudest and grandest".
what stops are we holding onto?

  5. I just found your blog and was amazed to find you have a "Damairs" to. I don't see that very much. Do you pronounce her name Dame-er-us or Da-ma-air-is? (hope that makes sense) mine is the latter :)
