Baby Mine

Vianney loves music more than any of our other children.  She is constantly asking me to play songs.  It doesn't matter what the song, she just loves to dance and sing.  I was working with the older kids at the table  and kept hearing this song on repeat.  I popped my head around the corner to find her dancing in another world.  She was swaying back and forth with her baby.  What was so precious to me was how she held up the baby's hand while dancing.  Very appropriate.  Even after I pulled out the video camera, she remained in her little dancing world.  I must have been overly emotional as it made me cry.  The older kids asked, "Are you crying?"  I guess I just pictured this forever being one of the moments I wouldn't forget about her while these days we have together seem to be sprinting by.

Of course, someone else joined in.

  2. I can see why you cried. What a beautiful little girl and a beautiful life. Made me realize why it is so good to homeschool and get all those peaceful moments with your children.

  3. Oh good grief, that song would make me cry any day, pregnant or not! I've already filled my crying quota for the day (9am...poor Jeremy!) so I had to stop the video, but you have some SWEET babies there.

  5. This song makes me cry every. single. time. -- especially when sung by Alison Krauss. My hens could be miles away from me and this song still makes me cry. There is something so tender and bittersweet and perfectly expressive about it. Your children are truly lovely, by themselves and with each other. What a blessing.

  6. Oh my goodness this is so precious! Thank you for posting. I had never heard that song before, but love it and will definitely have to look it up. I have been reading your blog for a few weeks, but I think this my first time commenting. We just miscarried our 4th baby in the last 5 years and although we have one daughter here on earth (and she is such a lovey!), our dreams of having a large family seem to be slipping away. But, when I see videos like this and pictures of your beautiful family, I think about hopefully being reunited with our little ones in Heaven and there will be a LOT of dancing on that day, Praise God! God Bless you and I am praying for you and your family! -Marie B
