His whole new world

I have experienced a real contentment in my babies when they become mobile and can explore on their own. I really do love finding them in their play. I love seeing them explore things they've never explored before.  On the other hand, I don't like it because now I have a whole new set of things to worry about like small objects on the floor, bathroom doors left open, and stairs.

We enjoyed these photos of Kapaun because we would flip back and forth on my camera and it looked like his leg was dancing.  You don't really get the same feel here on the blog.

Our school room now becomes transportable as I usually have to sit in the room he is playing in so I can do double time.  Dominic and I were doing a spelling test while Kapaun was cooking.
We also laughed at these two photos because first you see a face.  Then you see his face squish down and get devoured by his cheeks.
This is his favorite toy.  I can't believe he is at the "playing with toys" phase.  He will wind this toy over and over.

Anybody else think he looks 13 years old here?

He took his first tumble down the stairs.  Thank goodness he wasn't at the top, but still.  Last month, he was barely crawling and now he can go all the way upstairs.  Something seems a little fishy here.

Summer Ballet

The girls have had their fun with several ballet adventures this summer. Clairvaux has finally arrived as she is able to participate this summer.

All grace and elegance

She has watched her sisters for years.   Now that her time has come, she knows exactly what to do.

Lillie dances beautifully especially with her height.  I would have to say she is the one that enjoys dance the most.
She only has a little bit of a personality...that is a joke...she is the parent.  John and I are her children.

Under the Influence

So sweet and innocent.  He is into everything, but it is all pretty harmless.  Until...
Wild woman gets a hold of him.  She loves danger.

Look Kapaun!

What was that?  I didn't see it.
Pull yourself up!  Like this!  How do they think of these things?
I will not look.  I will go to my window view where I go numerous times a day and enjoy looking outside.
I see these little legs so many times standing here during each day.  I wonder how he settled upon this particular spot?

Fatrick is 9 months old

Big stuff is 9 months old already. He is everywhere. He can climb our stairs. He can pull up on anything. Our favorite is how he will test any object to see the sound it makes. He bangs everything together or on the floor. He loves to play with the springy door stop. Pure joy.  He has entered nicely into the alligator diaper changing phase.  I seriously have a panic attack when I have to change him because his hips are so strong and it is a P90X workout especially if the contents of the diaper aren't just wet.  Why do they do this?

Dominic said today that he feels like Kapaun is a celebrity.  We are always talking about him and what he does.  I always ask Dominic when we are riding in the car, "What is your favorite thing our boy does?"  Then, we proceed to name off all the cute things he does.

Zellie is still his main squeeze outside of me.  Although, John is swooping in fast.  He started getting really excited when he walks in the door.

This though, takes the cake.  It all started one evening when I was making dinner and Kapaun was fussing.  Zellie took him outside and rode around on the deck with him.  He LOVES it more than anything.  I bet she rode for 30 minutes.  Now, she does it almost everyday.  He LOVES it every time and we all love watching him chill on the bike while Zellie furiously peddles him around.

His current nicknames are:
1. Boy
2. Getting to Be
3. Getting (Yep.  I am a weirdo.  We call him a verb.)
4.  Lincoln's Finest
5.  Sa-Loob or Sa-Loob-e-de-doob
6.  Fatrick J. Boever
7.  Joseph

His current theme song is:
"He's getting to be.  He's getting to be.  Lincoln's Finest....BOOM!  That's for shizzle."

Baby Selfie

I was just laughing tonight how he cups his little feet in.  He learned to do this do to a prior run-in with getting his little foot caught in the wheel.  I don't know why I think it is cute.

A Night at the Zoo 2014

Last Friday, we enjoyed a family night out at the zoo compliments of St. Elizabeth's Hospital. It was a beautiful evening filled with great food, face painting, snow cones, cotton candy, endless pony rides, and simple delights.

Face painting was the highlight and well worth the hour we waited in line.

Her face and eyes.

I love this picture of Rose.  She is just so sweet and the nice lady who painted her face couldn't help but compliment her too!  When Rose got up, she said to me what a lovely young lady she was.

Dominic was last to go and went for a quick paint because he didn't want to miss out on the snow cones.
Chancho went for the arm paint.

Then, there was Gook head's first time at the zoo.  John called this "His look of love."  I am his one and only.
